AUTUMN TERM 1

18th September 2025

Welcome back to a brand-new term and a special welcome to all our new children and their families. They have all settled in well, though you would not think it when you hear the noise first thing in the morning! I can assure you that the tears do not last long.

This term is all about getting to know each other. Please return your family trees so that we can share them with your child.

Staffing – we have new staff! Some of you will know Natalie who has been with us for a while, she has stepped into Lynne’s shoes as my deputy.

Patience has joined us in the afternoons to support a child on a 1:1 basis.

April has joined us on a full-time basis.

Isobelle has joined us and will be starting an apprenticeship in January.

Lynne is staying with us as bank staff, so you might see her every now and then too.

Clothing – new children mean lots of coats that we do not recognise, please make sure that all coats are named. Can I please ask that all our clothing is returned also, our socks and pants are not finding their way back and we have completely run out!

Illness – the start of term means sharing the germs. We are sending children home nearly every day. There is a nasty cold/flu/covid bug doing the rounds at the moment, if your child is unwell with a fever and a constant runny nose, please keep them at home until they are well enough to return.

Wrap around care  - breakfast club continues as normal but wraparound care in the afternoon has changed slightly, we are now offering afterschool care until 4 pm (£5) or 4.15pm (£7.50)

To keep up on all the news, please continue to follow us on Facebook - Lilliput Learners Preschool Windsor UK and our parent WhatsApp page (you can add your name to the list)

We now have a separate Facebook page for prospective parents – Lilliput Learners Wrap Around Preschool Windsor, please signpost them to it or send them our way.

Lilliput-learners-pre-school.co.uk is our new website but bear in mind that it is a work in progress.

Lunches – please keep in mind when making your child’s lunch. We must insist that biscuits and cakes etc are kept for home. Remember to cut grapes and strawberries lengthways and carrot sticks should be cut into thin batons.
