The children enjoyed their hopping last week, and the money is beginning to arrive. If you have any donations, PLEASE BRING THEM IN BY WEDNESDAY 30TH APRIL (this Wednesday) as this is when someone from the hospice will be in to collect it all.

Tuesday 22nd July and Wednesday 23rd July – CLOSED – INSET DAYS.

FUNDING – As ever the funding system gets more complicated as each term starts. Look out for information which will help with understanding it (or not) on our Facebook page.

Briefly, if you are claiming funding for 2-year-olds from a family that claims certain benefits, your child can start the term after they turn two. (15 hours). You apply at RBWM for this one.

If you are working parent (s) your 2-year-old can start as soon as they are two, however you MUST apply before the beginning of the term in which they turn two. (15 hours) You apply to childcare choices.gov.uk for this one.

All 3- and 4-year-olds receive funding automatically the term after their third birthday (15 hours) there is no need to apply.

Working parents of 3- and 4-year-olds can apply for 30 hours funding but must be applied for the term before the child turns three. You apply to childcarechoices.gov.uk

STARTING FROM SEPTEMBER 2025, ELIGIBLE WORKING PARENTS OF CHILDREN AGED 2 TO 3 YEARS WILL BE ABLE TO ACCESS UP TO 30 HOURS PER WEEK. THIS WILL MATCH THE EXISTING OFFER FOR CHILDREN AGED 3 TO 4 YEARS OLD.

All funding that comes through childcare choices has a code which is sent to parents. Please remember to update your code every 3 months. For children who are new to the funding and will qualify in September, you must obtain your code before 31st August. This does tend to be their busiest time so the sooner you apply the better.

Wrap around care  - breakfast club continues as normal but wraparound care in the afternoon has changed slightly, we are now offering afterschool care up until 4 pm (£5) or 4.15pm (£7.50)

To keep up on all the news, please continue to follow us on Facebook - Lilliput Learners Preschool Windsor UK and our parent WhatsApp page.

We now have a separate Facebook page for prospective parents – Lilliput Learners Wrap Around Preschool Windsor, please signpost them to it or send them our way.

Lilliput-learners-pre-school.co.uk is our new website but bear in mind that it is a work in progress.

CONTRABAND !!!!! – we have had a spate of sweets and chocolates being smuggled in recently, please check your child’s pockets before they come into preschool, as much as we encourage sharing, we have children with allergies so sharing in this instance is not a good idea.

STAFFING -  those of you who are on social media will be aware that we are still looking for staff due to our increasing numbers. We are looking to employ a full-time member of staff, qualified to a level 3 or above and part time staff to work with a child or children with additional needs, no qualifications are necessary, patience, empathy and a love of children is more important. We will also be looking to employ a deputy manager by the end of July as Lynne will be leaving us.

Please send suitable candidates our way.

UPDATE - Thank you to everyone that hopped at to all of you that sponsored our hoppers we raised a very impressive £554.80
